Typically the type of employment contracts that we undertake include permanent/full-time employee contracts which entails the candidate being employed directly by the client as a full-time employee from day one. Under this type of contract, the candidate receives all the benefits of employment including insurance coverage from the client directly. In some cases, the employer may employ the candidate subject to a probation period, of which the candidate will be notified in advance. What ever the case, the probation period cannot legally exceed six months. The second type of contract and one that is most common is a temp-to-perm contract other wise known as ‘shokai yotei haken’. In this case the candidate initially begins their contract as an employee of Ernest for a given period of time, which serves as the probation, following the completion of which the candidate then becomes a direct employee of the client and is eligible for the full benefits afforded to the other employees of the candidate or as other wise agreed. The last type of contact is an outsourcing contract, also known as ‘haken’, where the candidate is considered an employee of Ernest, and is dispatched to the client for on long term and short term basis. The type of contract under which employment will take place, again depends on the requirements of the client at the time.
